When I was a little girl I saw a TV show about the old Burma Shave ads. I thought that good advertising was the best thing in the world. This has always been my measuring stick. If I can do for clients what this campaign did then I am content in life.

I have a long list of features that no longer work like separating my trackbacks from my actual comments. This will occupy my night tonight. Maybe I can keep my mind off the cold. Michigan can freeze you for the winter. Polar bears come here to vacation brrrrrr. We have the heat on but trying to keep from turning it on a constant 82 degrees takes some will power and I stopped being friendly with Will a while back. I do cheat. I use a portable heater in the living room our cat sleeps in front of it, actually she sleeps right on it. I keep telling her I am pretty sure cat fur is flammable, but you know how cats are.

• eat ONLY organic meats or nothing at all

I am a omnivore and proud of it, but I must say watching Food, Inc and not being able to live in denial anymore I can’t eat another mass grown/butchered animal. Really wtf are you trying to feed a cow corn for? I think it would be chaeper to move them from place to place grazing. I would allow a farmer to let his cow eat my lawn any day. So would my neighbors.



It’s preferable to scooping out undigested corn from the cows stomachs. YUCK!!!



So resolution #1 less ecoli.

• I did blog a lot this year as per my last year resolution. ditto this one for this year.

I would say that I should probably jot out some kind of writing plan to follow. My blog is kind of all over the place. I love mommy blogging (reading it) I can’t be that brave myself. I can’t edit enough to not hurt my kids or hubbys feelings so I will again have to leave that alone.



I would think that my friends like my observations with a touch of sarcas so I will try to get more of this in my blog this year. I will strive for 3 posts per week. 1 article length comment on or about another website and 10 comments on other sites.


Resolution #2 more organized and productive writing.



Resolution #3 is a simple exercise based one. Jump rope 200 rotations per day. Sit ups 25 in morning 25 at night. dance until I sweat each day no matter what the hubby and kid say. Lady Gaga make me shake my butt off



resolution 4 actually started at the same time I started to watch Hoarders. I clean a bit after each episode. More than clean I toss sh** out!!!! I am pretty clean and no where near a hoarder, more of a minimalist. I live with two men (my husband and son) and they are typical men and so to me they are level one hoarders. They just are, because they are straight men. So I also plan to toss out there stuff too. Not just limit myself to my room and the kitchen.


Resolution #4 de-clutter the ENTIRE house weather people scream and cry or not. Then paint it. It is due for a new theme. I like steampunk.



Resolution #5 finish the LONGGGGG novel I started for nanowrimo. It will take probably all year. I will dedicate 1:30 minutes each day to this task.



Resolution #6 practice my french more at home. out loud. Yes. look like a lune talking to myself. No one in my house wants to be bi-lingual. I just can’t understand the ability to be fine with mediocrity and lack of worldly pursuits.



And resolution #7 go out and get another crappy job, because the good one is not happening. If there is a good one out there I think the hiring manager has not met me yet. Call me.

About Our Food in America

Both nights we went to Ronin for a fine dinner of sushi. Their menu is not graphical but I have a list of favorites (Thanks to Matthew and Michelle) that they make there.

It is great that Goldfish Tea offers a connection to free Wi-Fi also. Coupled with a good size place full of plenty of seating this makes it a perfect place for groups to meet. Which is what brought me to their door the first time. i wan there for #tweetea, but it rained that evening and I ended up just having a date night with my husband, who is a tea lover and so we had a fun night out.

The next time was a weekend and my mother was treating us to dinner out for my hubby’s birthday. We have been celebrating for over a week, big year. She asked up to pick and we again did Ronin and goldfish.

I asked the girl at the counter (she was very nice) about their FaceBook page and she said that she would friend me instead, I just could not figure out if I was no the right page as the updates seemed to be nothing new. I did not think that she was going online at that time to add me, and it was funny that when we were leaving she said ‘JuanitaC on FaceBook right?’ I said ‘Yep, that’s me.’ ‘Funny you don’t look like your pic.’ she said.

lol OMG! yeah. I was dressed like the slob I am when out on a mandatory outing with my mom, hubby and kid. Don’t get me wrong, we had a good time. It’s just like the celebrity factor. I will not do hair, makeup, wardrobe just to hang out with people who see me in my PJs. And I am usually low key and if I glammed up I would expect to draw attention (which I don’t feel comfortable with all the time).

I was like ‘Yeah. I am not made up. This is me in real life out with the mom and hubby and kid.’  You always try to post the best pics online right? I also do not turn on the Marilyn (up the ante on my personality) very often. And I can be kind of brash sometimes because I think every minute should count. But I don’t mean to be mean. I just like to get to the point.

I think if I became some sort of celebrity I would be one of those that the tabloids would love to see on grocery shopping trips with my hair in curlers and baggy sweatpants and a torn favorite t-shirt running quick to my car as fast as my flip flops could carry me and shouting ‘Don’t you have better things to look at?!’

If I were alone those board games they have at Goldfish looked pretty tempting. I wonder if they had Balderdash? I did not stop to look. Everyone else wanted to go home.

Thanks to @dalthu and his link of the day I found a new funny site to share with my hubby and maybe he will finally get a little bit about Twitter.

Actually I think this could spur some younger people to search out some real biographies about some of these real historic figures, just to see what makes some of these tweets funny.

You have to think of the way it will be used. I have my WP on same level as my root so that if I reference an image it does not know where to find it. I did not configure this structure. I suppose there are ways to make it workable but seems like a lot of trouble for no reason to me.

Anyway I fixed my RT links. so instead of the short jack-in.com/?p=138 it will have to read juanitachronowski.com/jdcblog/?p=138 for now anyway. I guess people will have to learn how to spell my name from memory. Juanita Chronowski . but the /jdcblog part hmmmm… Well I am not moving my Wp again. I just got situated (and not yet fully) on the new server.
